Brighton Gunner:
Harvest for Hope
A Note from the Oikos INTL Founders:
Brighton is a creative being and without doubt one of the hardest workers we know. Talented through and through. He’s honest and is full of integrity. We are always impressed by his ability to fill in the gaps where there is need. We love Brighton and have believed he would be a changemaker in the world from the very start of meeting him. Almost 3 years later, he is ready to take on the world with Oikos and YOU as a partner in bringing the Gospel and aid to a struggling city and country in Zimbabwe. He needs help to finalize his last checklist items to head home after 12 long years. Giving through this and all of our ministries is a tax-deductible gift.
Meet Brighton
Hello, I'm Brighton Zulu, originally from the mining town of Eiffel Flats in Kadoma, Zimbabwe. I currently live in Cape Town, South Africa a non-stop 15 to 20 hours journey by transport if you can afford it; weeks by foot if you can survive it. My journey is a tapestry woven with diverse skills and a passion for positive change. Armed with high school certificates in agriculture and achievements in athletics, I've ventured into various fields— electric work, woodwork, plumbing, welding, and gardening. I had no idea how God was shaping me for this very moment with these skills.
Driven by a background in agriculture, a commitment to community empowerment, a love for the Gospel and a spectrum of skills, I founded Harvest for Hope after a nearly long intensive education and training with Oikos INTL. This transformative project aims to address unemployment, substance abuse, malnutrition and environmental degradation caused by mining in Kadoma. Join me in sowing the seeds of change, cultivating sustainable practices, and restoring hope to a community in need. Help me work with others in establishing a healthy church and education program in my homeland of Kadoma, South Africa. Together, let's illuminate the path to a brighter future. Will you commit to praying for me on this journey?

HARVEST FOR HOPE
2024 BUDGET
Brighton works 3 jobs to support his family. He is a hard worker. However, Brighton needs to focus in 2024 on his next level of training ---- church planting. He has the opportunity to learn church planting from his church community in Cape Town. But he needs your support so he can dedicate full-time in 2024 to learning, studying and preparing his education programs when he returns to Zimbabwe in 2025. In 2024 he will begin the groundwork of boreholes and ground preparation through people already on the ground in Zimbabwe. This cost for the groundwork is $10,000. In order to feed his family, pay schooling fees for his children (there is no free schooling in Africa) and meet his rent obligations, Brighton requires $550.00 a month.
