PROJECTS

Missions of Mercy you will be engaging with…

South Africa has been free from Apartheid & segregation since 1991, yet it is not free of challenges and the remnants left behind from the community struggle. Many of its people struggle with poverty, unemployment & HIV/AIDS. Your team will help to bring hope to the destitute through missions of mercy chosen specifically for your team. You will work side-by-side with local ministries that address these issues in a concrete & sustainable way while demonstrating love & compassion.  Our hope is to connect you with a local ministry that will be in your prayers and in your sphere of missional care for years to come.

We are prepared to work with your team offering training and perspective months preceding your missional trip if desired. Before work can begin once “on the ground” in SA, teams will attend an orientation including a re-brief overview of the project, community needs & South African culture. We will engage specifically in accommodation; and all meals & transportation will be provided in partnership with our teams on the ground for a first class missional experience.

PROJECTS LIST

  • Before immigrants can develop new language skills, cultural norms understanding and employment; they must be healthy. Many of the frontline workers who desire to be social workers, teachers and prayer warriors with the men and women who are in their care for meals they must be fed. Your team has the opportunity to work with "mamas" in communities preparing and serving meals and meaningful 1:1's with English speaking men, women and children. Pray, encourage and give hope whether it's at a small school or in the heart of a hungry community.

  • Engage in local projects with our indigenous team members in clean up and restoration projects as they connect you to the people. Men working with men gives them encouragement as they make their community a better and safer place for all. Often these projects include repair and construction helping the widower and disabled with needed help. Women working with women may incorporate trading skills, but will be filled with prayers and encouragement. Both groups will worship together and spend time in the Word while showing the Gospel through action.

  • Work alongside men and women outreach teams building instruments, learning and teaching music and art skills while encouraging kids and teenagers with the Gospel and through relationship and conversation. This encouragement helps the young to build skills, faith and hope so that they will not resort to gang membership or drug trafficking.

  • Join Benjamin as he ministers to the widow and widower, the disabled and more who are in need of community and hope. Entertain through story-telling, music and skits. Go on a journey outside of the confines of their community where they might experience seeing a whale or a penguin, or even a shopping mall or an epic view that they might have never seen before.

  • We always have special projects that come up. From special construction projects to small and large events we have them. If you have a team with specific goals and talents, we likely can use them with fervor! Please let us know.
